Are you ready to shake? State seeks participants for “Drop, Cover, Hold” earthquake drill

It’s not until October 18th, but we hope you will sign up now for Washington State’s Great Shakeout Earthquake Drill. The Washington Emergency Management Division today announced details of the region-wide (Oregon, Idaho, California and British Columbia in addition to Washington State) simultaneous earthquake drill scheduled for October 18 at 10:18 a.m.

Washington State will hold a warm-up for the fall exercise by conducting a statewide Drop, Cover & Hold Earthquake Drill at 9:45 a.m. on April 25.  April is Washington State Disaster Preparedness Month.
