Good news for hunters and those off-road riders looking to get in some riding now that the dust has settled in Eastern Washington: DNR has reopened Sherry Creek Campground and the roads leading in to it after the area was closed most of the summer for timber harvest activity. The campground is located about 25 miles east of Colville.
There’s still some harvesting going on with about 20 truckloads a day, so DNR urges visitors to use extreme caution. The Ruftac trail will remain closed until all harvest activities are completed.
