The 2014 Professional Dive Safety Conference is designed for divers who earn their living working underwater in a variety of capacities. The conference will bring together local, state, and national dive experts to present the latest scientific research, technology, and best management practices.
While much of the focus of the conference will be related to public agency commercial dive programs, we welcome other commercial divers to attend as well.
Call for presenters, topic ideas, and panel leaders
As we develop the conference program, we are looking for experts to share their knowledge, either as presenters or as panel leaders. If you are interested or know someone who would be a good addition to our conference line up, please contact Blain Reeves, DNR conference coordinator, at 360-902-1731 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also interested in hearing from experts and divers about what topics the conference should address. Some proposed topics include:
- Developing dive safety plans
- Understanding the regulatory framework
- Diver training
- Hyperbaric medicine
- Maintaining equipment
Let us know what you think or if you have other topic ideas.
At DNR, safety is an important part of our culture. We want to make this conference the best possible experience for all participants and presenters.
Also, check our conference web page for updates and more information, including a downloadable flyer to post wherever professional divers might see it: bit.ly/dive2014conference. Thanks for helping to spread the word!
