Washington firefighting patch shows support of emergency responders

Roland Emetaz ("Mr. Em") a Washington Interagency Incident Management Team #5 patch
Thanks to Roland Emetaz (“Mr. Em”) a Washington Interagency Incident Management Team #5 patch is now displayed with those from 2,000 other public safety agencies at O’Hara’s Pub, near the 9/11 Memorial in New York City.

Recently, Roland Emetaz (Mr. Em), a long-time member of Washington Interagency Incident Management Team 5, and his son visited New York City.

While there, they visited O’Hara’s – a pub adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial. Following the devastation of 9/11, the pub was closed for about six months. When it reopened, responders started visiting the pub and leaving their team/unit patches to show support for emergency responders.

Thanks to Mr. Em and his son, the Washington Interagency Incident Management Team 5 patch has joined the fellowship of about 2,000 patches now displayed on the walls of O’Hara’s Pub in New York City.
